Honestly, I'm a bit dissapointed in the character development of the Champion for lvl 50+. The deadly storm trait set sounds nice but the berserker sounds not that cool. allright, the cd for sprint is nice but when do you use that in a 1v1? But I must admit that the stun/root immunity skill sounds nice for charging creeps . Also the martial champion doesn't sound very promising, only the trait controlled fury sounds pretty cool, that you can use ardent flurry and glorious exchange during controlled burn.
The best things about the char development are imo the upgrade of Cleave to Rend and that we'll finally get usable runes.

Champ: all in all it sucks. I must admit that I'm halfway to being drunk so that might cloud my judgement but you ask me, I don't see a reason to be happy and joyfull after reading this.
Who cares about Sprint? I use it to get away from a fight. I don't run away that often that I need a skill to run away MORE OFTEN. Ffs, a champion is someone who's there to deal dmg, not to run the fuck around. It's not a lore master for crying out loud.
And what about "Blood Rage is the new skill linked to this Trait Set. It removes combat states like Stunned and Rooted and gives the Champion a very short-term immunity for the cost of a good chunk of Morale."? Immunity to WHAT? Root and Stunned? And that's gonna cost me a 'good chunk of morale'? Are they insane or what?

I'm not entirely sure how to read that trait set thing. Do I need to choose from different sets (Berserker, Martial, Deadly Storm) or can I pick some from any? I hate being limited tbh. I picked a char with a class and not the class is getting subclasses? Please, no.

Rend: nice.
Feral Strikes: Corruption? 'really, really want to remove Corruption'? Sounds like a whole lot of bad.
In Berserker mode you might be able to deal more dmg, but heals are less effective so Corruption takes you down instantly?

Reading Minstrel now, hoping for better changes...

Minstrel: sounds ok so far though I wonder what stats will be. The Protector of Song sounds pretty useless though....

The medium armour and spear weapon worry me a bit, but it sounds like a nice class. Ranged like a hunter, heals like a captain, deals dmg like a champ, stealth like a burg...

After playing and leveling a few lvls I have some new insights.
The skill sets (like for champ: Martial, Berserker, Deadly Storm) aren't what I thought. You don't choose a single set, but just like before, a bunch of skills. Some belong to one group, others to one of the other groups. Having more skills of one group, gives you extra buffs from that group.
2 skills in a single group give you a single extra benefit, 3 adds one benefit, etc. With 5 you can slot a legendary skill to add to that. Since at lvl 57/58 you'll have 7 slots, it means you can have one extra skill from another set if you want to go for one full skill set.

Some skills transform into others when you level up.

BTW, Berserker mode seems to suck. Healings are effective for about 10-15% I think. Bad bad bad I wonder how well you could tank though... hmmm....

Haven't put much thought into the Minstrel skills yet since I haven't played mine a lot so far. As far as I can tell, it looks ok though. There's one legendary skill that's gonna rock. It will combine the Tale of Warding and the Tale of Heroism. Giving you about 1300 armour value, 1 hope (which is now called 10 Radiance..), 60 will and 60 fate. Pretty sweet Even more since it's the skill which benefits the group .

Lack of minstrels is pretty high though ;) Want attention? Get your minstrel online
